BACKGROUND
The City of Bern faces challenges related to extremist groups from the right and left wing. During the last three years, Bern was also confronted with young people who were radicalised by Daesh. The City of Bern is the first city in Switzerland which installed an Information Centre for Radicalised Persons, which provides support for radicalised persons and their relatives, as well as for experts working in the social sector. One of the main focuses is awareness raising and providing information to parents, teachers, schools and the community.
