Stronger Than Hate is a graphic animation of the 2018 attack at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, focusing on key mayoral decision points during and in the wake of attack. Narrated by former Pittsburgh Mayor William Peduto, this animation intimately recounts the horrific events that transpired that day and illustrates how a city came together to emerge more united than ever. Although this episode is set in Pittsburgh, it is a story that should resonate around the world, as all cities face the ongoing threat of violence, terrorism and other mass casualty events.

The animation is a joint production of Strong Cities Network and the Bertelsmann Foundation, an independent, nonpartisan, and non–profit think tank in Washington, DC, dedicated to a strong and lasting transatlantic relationship. It was premiered at Strong Cities Transatlantic Mayoral Dialogue in the Hague in November 2022.

Strong Than Hate was nominated for a Cannes Shorts Best Animation Film in 2022.
