Strong City Aurora receives City Cultural Diversity Award

We are very pleased to announce that the City of Aurora (Co, United States), a valued member of the Strong Cities Network, has been awarded the 2017 City Cultural Diversity Award by the National League of Cities.

The award honours municipal programmes that encourage citizen involvement and recognises cities that develop creative and effective programmes to improve and promote cultural diversity through a collaborative process with city officials, community leaders and residents. Aurora has several innovative programmes, including the  International and Immigrant Teen Police Academy, City Youth Academy and the Natural Helpers programme, run by Aurora’s  Office of International and Immigrant Affairs (OIIA).
