Engaging Families to Counter Violent Extremism in North Africa: Opportunities and Challenges

This report analyses the current and potential future role of families in countering violent extremism (CVE) in North Africa. It explores existing family-led efforts as well as potential for new initiatives and tries to better understand the challenges that civil society faces in challenging violent extremism and preventing radicalisation. Furthermore, it looks into novel ways of engaging different family members in different areas of prevention and of fostering cooperation between families, local authorities as well as other stakeholders involved in CVE work.
