This report aims to assess the fairness, effectiveness and impact of counter-terrorism and counter-radicalisation policies in the UK, in particular on Muslim communities. It provides an overview of the community context, outlines the legal framework and the wider policy and policing context, explores the political context and the context of the threat from terrorism. Finally, it outlines existing academic and policy research on the impact of counterterrorism policing and policy.
