This document is the report of the Prison and Probation Practitioners’ Exchange held in Birmingham on the 5 and 6 December 2011 and organised by the Institute for Strategic Dialogue and the RecoRa Institute. It provides an overview of the discussions on how to manage extremist offenders before, during and after imprisonment, lessons and principles learned from effective interventions as well as the key challenges that prison and probation staff are facing.
