This policy document was elaborated by the HMIC and the Audit Commission to draw out the learning from the first year of Prevent. They visited 15 sites to assess how local partnerships are responding to the challenge, what were the most efficient initiatives and what were barriers to progress. This report is based on four themes that emerged during these visits: rationale for the strategic approach, information sharing, partnership working and assessing success.
