The SCN working groups will now become ongoing streams of work. These work streams were agreed upon by the SCN International Steering Committee as a set of key ongoing thematic priorities of interest to member cities.
Following the meeting of the International Steering Committee at the SCN Global Summit in May 2017, it was decided that the SCN working groups will now become priority work streams. The list of thematic priorities has been compiled by SCN members and reflects what topics the SCN members want and need more support on. The SCN will concentrate on these topics in its work, research, training and capacity building activities.
The previous working groups focused on Counter-Narratives and Communications, Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, and Public-Private Partnerships. Now, 13 other areas will be added to the thematic focus list of the SCN.
For each topic, a work stream web page will be launched on the SCN Online Hub. We will collect research, case studies, reports, best practices and policy documents on that dedicated page for each topic. We would like to ask for your cooperation in collecting this information: if your city has relevant experience or if you stumble upon relevant research, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us. That way we can ensure the SCN Online Hub is up to date and reflects your global efforts and valuable experience.
Existing member cities can fill in this form to indicate the areas that are of particular interest for their city. That way, we can send you information, resources and opportunities that are the most relevant to you. Do not hesitate to get in touch with us should you have questions or want to share information with us.
